Greetings from Hilton Head! I just finished conducting a Power2Teach training at Oracle Charter HS in Buffalo, NY as well as a Power2Learn training at Cherry Hill Alternative high School in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Of course, in the past 3-4 months, along with my esteemed colleague and training partner, Ken Fisher, we trained about 20 + high schools in the great states of Kansas and Iowa. We met great folks who are firmly committed to developing the character of the young people they serve. It was a great time. I know I walked away feeling terrific about the Power2 programming and its potential for changing school cultures around the country. I’ll fill you all in later about what I see as the three major strengths of the Power2Teach and Power2Learn programs. But now got to go grab some more sun!

Greetings from the Institute for Character Development, the nation’s first Smart and Good Regional Center!
We are thrilled to be working with five outstanding Iowa High Schools as Field Research Sites for the Power2Learn and Power2Teach programs. It has been amazing to watch the schools present the P2 materials to their faculty and now to their students. To borrow a quote from Lickona and Davidson: ”We shape the culture, the culture shapes the character;” we feel our schools are committed to shaping a culture of excellence for academics and character development.
